Any half competent installer would spot this and recommend against such an idea. But then such people aren't trying to get VC funding.

The next suboptimal part of this setup is one of wire lengths. By it's nature, a solar install in between railway tracks is long and thin. The news article says it's 100m long. Assuming that it's 1m wide (there's only 1435mm between the rails anyway). So essentially that's a 100m² install. But that means you have to run 100m long wire to connect the panels.
