I finished updating the rest of my lights and also might have solved an adjacent mystery.
I have 5 USBASP boards but only one of them actually worked on these lights. I have several different probes so I wanted to dedicate one to each.
When I got the others I tried them and they didn't work properly, so I updated the firmware and they still didn't work. But now I read the firmware off the one that did work and wrote it to the others and they all work now. Despite it being much older.
