The retention of GPs remains a significant problem for the English NHS;
we know that there is a bottleneck in training & early carer places for newly qualified General Practitioners, while the working conditions are stressful due to the pressures on GPs driven by other aspects of the (continuing) NHS crisis...
While technology (again) will no doubt be touted as the answer... the real issue is workforce planning, training & attention to better working lives!
