a lot of freedom of speech supporters really don't help the situation by making it seem like it's *fundamentally* a matter of freedom lol, when it's a lot simpler than that, no idea should ever be censored for the simple reason that no idea is ever known with absolute certainty to be wrong

it's about epistemology above all else, not freedom, freedom is just a side effect lol, what actually matters is that everyone has a chance to try to prove everyone else wrong, simply for the sake of *knowledge*

this also means it is perfectly acceptable to censor specific *ways* to voice an idea, being rude isn't a right, the only thing that is a right is saying whatever you believe in a civil, logical, and evidence-based manner
