I never like losing a drive, but feels pretty validating to see things play out like this.
There was a time in my life when I didn't plan for these things and losing a drive would be a big deal. I didn't have recent backups, if any at all.
I'm in a much better position now. While data loss is always possible, I've taken the time to think about what it would take and the more important the data, the more it would take before I'd lose all copies.
