It will also be nice to see the VC investment and circular financing bubble that relies on the US proprietary AI to be miles ahead of open source to burst so that we get affordable hardware, especially VRAM, back. I’d like to be able to buy the GPUs with ~400GB VRAM like the MI450 as a consumer. Until that bubble bursts us consumers are stuck with the 32GB max shit they toss down to us.
