Public service announcement for those looking to get started in home mining. If you’re like myself and have to start of slowly due to lack of funds, it’s critical that you get the most for your money. With that being said, I can recommend the Braiins pool as being one of the better choices for a few reasons. One, they have been doing it since bitcoin was a thing so they are reliable. Two, you can purchase hardware from them like the Braiins deck, but you can also buy commercial miners or if that’s too much, you can simply buy a hash rate for a pre determined amount of time. And three, it’s one of the only pools that allow you to withdraw via lightning so you don’t have to wait half a year to withdraw what you earn because of a low hashrate.
And just like pools differentiate themselves, so do the wallets you link to it, not all lightning wallets are created equal as I had to find out the hard way. I had switched to Breez because I am always looking for a better experience and it was the complete opposite. Not only is there a minimum of 100sats before you can withdraw to it, they also charge you roughly half of that for a fee, in comparison, WoS has no minimal draw, you can literally withdraw 1sat per day, with absolutely no fees. #btc #bitcoin #mining #wos #breez #fwiw
