john_darksoul (nprofile…62qs) they buff the fingernail spells (which don't require arcane) and are therefore better cast from lusat's or prince of death with offhand maternal if for some fucking reason you want to use "soul arrow but more homing" instead of something that actually hits enemies like rock sling or night comet
at 80 int 80 arc the staff ties with lusat's but loses to prince of death at 80 int 80 fai, and the maternal staff only beats albunauric when int and arc are above ~135 combined, like 75/60 or 80/55
for extremely high investment staves it's worse than prince of death and unlocks fuck-all, wtf is the point
