When I decided to leave my “EighthLayer” online persona behind, I basically changed all of my usernames across the internet immediately to get rid of it for good.
New username wasn’t imaginative; I used my first name and last name stuck together as it’s unique enough to be available everywhere.
For a while now though I’ve grown uncomfortable with this, so I’ve been trying to think of a new one that adds some anonymity for months.
Just as I was about to shutdown for the evening, it came to me. I cancelled my immediate sleep plans to check across the various services I use (mainly gaming related platforms) and it is pretty much available everywhere!
I’m going to sleep on it (yawn 🥱) but I think I’ll likely pull the trigger on it tomorrow! 🤩
