Okay, I did the dumb thing and updated my laptop.

Plasmashell fails to start up correctly, but seems to get incredibly bogged down.

When it first starts up, it seems too sign in normally, blanks all four displays, then starts up, locks up on all the screens and seems to try to load them incorrectly. I included the picture, and you can see that it seems to have two blanked displays, with part of a display overlayed on top of the one it did start the login animation on.

If I switch to another terminal (ctrl-alt-F1) and back, it loads the laptop screen, and actually starts up (because using my keyboard hot-keys, I can load just about everything normally, and everything that's not Plasma related works. If I switch away and back, it will load all the Plasma stuff, but locks up at the point I switched back (which gives me a timestamp because the system tray's clock freezes at that point.)

I say that it's bogging the system down because Keybase is the other thing that is failing. It won't load images at all after the updates were applied.

This is the same thing it was doing last week week. At the time, I reverted and just didn't update, but that's not something that you can do forever and today is the day I decided I needed to actually catch up on my updates.
