#WritersCoffeeClub Apr. 12: How does being a writer influence your life outside of the work?
I've been tasked with writing a short educational piece at work. My knowledge and skills with the product combined with taking an appropriately perky voice and knowing how to set up hooks for later entries like hydra heads seems to have hit some very good notes with both my old manager and my current one. XD
I suppose that's underwhelming, isn't it? Writing has been such an intrinsic piece of my life for so long I'm not sure how to say otherwise. It's hard to say sometimes what makes it into my writing because of research and what I research for my writing. I know a bit of herbal medicine, and I maybe know a bit of that from writing. I certainly know more about natural dyes thanks to Jerako than I did before. I never would have researched space shuttle materials without my space opera. But all the tech there is just because I find that stuff cool.
