What's more, it's possible that an actual left-wing candidate would be more likely to win over disaffected & frustrated Republican voters than an establishment Democrat.
Instead of trying to fight over the "center," targeting voters who are pissed that they have been fucking screwed by grifters who don't care about them seems more likely to yield results. A centrist Democrat will NEVER have that appeal. People will see yet another grifter who doesn't give a shit if they live or die.
