A hundred and twenty five gigawatts. That's the size of the waiting list to connect to the UK grid. Now it doesn't say if all of that is purely consumers of energy, or if some of those connections are for generation capacity. But that's almost three times the current peak electricity demand in the UK. Three times the current peak, in new connections.
