On the embedded note about Gold I mostly disagree.
Gold has worse auditability, verifiability than Bitcoin.
Gold price (which is the influence of the money) can and was counteracted with paper-gold and buy/sell schemes.
Gold can be counteracted with strong taxation and severe laws against using it. The same they do now with cash.
In comparison to CBDC, Gold and cash are much much better but I still think they both are worse than Bitcoin which also failed.
