right, i was just telling you where i got my understanding of the term. my point is that ideas are inherently connected with a person's nature, and with a people's nature. it is not impossible for there to exist a man constitutionally incapable of believing in christianity. how, then, can it be said to be universal? even if the statements of fact that christianity makes are indisputably true: the resurrection, the godhead of the christ, the divine inspiration of the holy bible... surely "love everyone" is not a universal statement. it is a statement of nature, nature that may simply not belong to this or that person.
