The early writings thing *is* weird. There is evidence to sites mentioned in the Holy Bible so it isn't like *some* of the stuff can't be confirmed. There are ruins and archeological sites that are real and you can totally go and see. But that doesn't mean they are somehow... holy. It just means the book references places.
