My favorite VW moment was when their CEO got super drugged up and demanded that their engineers create a beyond Audi A8 tier flagship sedan but put a VW logo on it and shape it like a low-tier VW Jetta. They called it the Phaeton and it only lasted like 2 years in the US. They were super cheap to buy at one point but getting parts were effectively impossible.
