"We are residents of Belconnen, Gungahlin and the surrounding suburbs who believe our communities deserve better representation than the party-based system is currently delivering.
We come from different backgrounds, have different life experiences and different political leanings. We all however, share a common belief: that we can, and need to be, more connected to the political decisions that shape our lives.
Our small group of locals first came together in January 2026 to discuss what alternative, and more active independent representation could look like for Fenner (Federal), Ginninderra and Yerrabi (ACT). Inspired by other 'Voices of' type movements, we have been growing steadily ever since".
