One advantage of reading Le Monde and Süddeutscher Zeitung is their strong coverage of EU news.
Another one is that I read French and German so slowly and imperfectly that I can skip all headlines about 4547 without understanding what they say. It's almost like filtering him out, like I do here on Masto.
