More than 100 victims of investment fraud in Malaysia have urged the police to expedite investigations into 18 companies and investment platforms suspected of being involved in group-based scams. The Malaysian Humanitarian Organization (MHO) stated on June 23rd that victims and MHO representatives submitted 18 memorandums to the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID), calling for swift conclusion of the probes and prosecution. Complaints reportedly span various investment schemes, including forex trading, cryptocurrency investments, overseas funds, gold, real estate, and stocks. Many victims reported being promised high returns, fixed profits, and capital preservation, only to be unable to withdraw their funds.
