Just had an interesting thought (well, I think it's interesting anyway)
People didn't start imagining what the future would be like until we started thinking about history. Because without history, you don't really have a sense of change. And because we started imagining the future, we started innovating _deliberately_, because we wanted to get to that future we were imagining. But it all started with thinking about history and realizing that technology changed over time
