All the weed suppression is from harvesting lawn clippings, leaf mulch, compost, cardboard, and in recent years wheat straw poultry bedding. The earthworms eat the mulch improving the garden soil quality. The rain drops don’t directly strike the soil. It’s a good cycle. #nodig, #notill, #gardening
