TRUMP CREATES NEW ADVISORY COMMITTEE FEATURING GAMBLING, CRYPTO CASINOS AND PREDICTION MARKETS
Trump Admin launches a new Innovation Advisory Committee at the CFTC, bringing together leaders from crypto, prediction markets, and online trading platforms.
Among the 35 members:
• Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong
• Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev
• Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission says the committee will help “future-proof” U.S. financial markets and ensure regulations reflect rapidly evolving platforms, including crypto, DeFi, and prediction markets.
CFTC Chair Michael Selig called it an “energizing moment,” signaling a push to expand the agency’s relevance as betting platforms, crypto firms, and trading apps race to integrate prediction markets.
