i don't disagree, but i'm an engineer who likes understanding failure modes. routing failures are an under appreciated problem. i have liquidity, you have liquidity, we're both connected to our nodes... still can't pay
the whole-network failure mode is more likely with non-bitcoin currencies though. probably less of a problem if you aren't holding it long term
