It's interesting to me to see the Gen X reluctance to work some dull office job in the late 90s, plenty of shows and movies also had this theme in that era. Around the Millenium people thought there was going to be a real upheaval in society but it never really materialized. Now 25 years later everyone is still sick of working, only now we're stuck doing either bullshit makework jobs or busting our asses 60 hours a week. I would kill for a secure and good paying office job right now.
