I think you've identified some genuine tensions within the ecosystem. At the same time, it's worth remembering that Bitcoin has survived far greater threats when it was much smaller, more fragile, and less understood than it is today.
For me, the key question is not whether Bitcoin survives. Bitcoin is not a person, a company, an ideology, or a movement. Bitcoin is open-source code, energy, mining, incentives, and a globally distributed network. As long as those fundamentals remain intact, Bitcoin isn't dying.
The real question is whether our expectations survive.
If Bitcoin is only a vehicle for getting "rich", then many people may be disappointed. But if Bitcoin is a tool for freedom, sovereignty, truth, and creating a better world, then it is still delivering on that promise today.
When I look at Bitcoin's health, I ask simple questions:
Is it still decentralized?
Is it still permissionless?
Can anyone still run a node?
Can anyone still self-custody?
Can anyone still transact without asking permission?
The answer remains yes.
The debates around developers, corporations, institutions, maximalists, ordinals, treasury companies, and influencers are ultimately human-level debates. They matter, but they are not Bitcoin itself.
Perhaps the deeper question is whether we are each contributing enough. Have we let go of NGU? Are we educating? Building? Supporting others? Living the values we claim Bitcoin represents?
Ultimately, Bitcoin's future will be shaped by human consciousness. As more people come to understand what Bitcoin is and why it matters, they will naturally reject short-term gimmicks, fear, and fiat thinking.
Bitcoin will continue.
The question is whether we will rise to become worthy custodians of the opportunity it offers.
