In theory could there be a fairy related to a specific kind of crop, or would that not work? I'm thinking either that or a flower.

Outside of the physical change (Which can either be very minor or pretty major) the girl in question would still have her values, just with romance as a new value (Of course incompatible values don't stay. Stuff like killing, cheating on a lover, cucking and anything else that isn't romance-compatible.)
