It's an extremely invasive grass with runners as badbas bamboo(it will send roots under a concrete slab and pop up on the other side)
Brought here as a pasture grass for livestock, but if livestock eat too much of it they can get bloated and even die from the high oxalic content.
It's the absolute worst weed in the garden, never ending maintenance just to keep it out of garden beds
Popular as a lawn grass because of how hard it is to kill.
When it does go to seed the seeds poke through your socks and stick into you if you walk through it.
