Photographers say that true macro is when the subject is reproduced at a minimum of 1:1 magnification on the camera’s sensor... the subject on the sensor is the same size as in real life, or bigger.
The rest of the world seems to think it's a macro as soon as it reveals some fine details that can be hardly seen by naked eye 👀
