we created high level languages just because it was easier to understand machine code. to review other poeple's code.

I'm quite sure that llms are tought to produce machine code at this very moment.

I was there from when html pages was handcratfted till now.

devs now are fluent in languagues, and that makes them hyper-productive with llms. because we can read the code and ask good prompts.

until the llms switch to machine code OGs still have a huge advantage.
