I breathe in second-hand strength and courage from the r/fednews subreddit of federal civil servants, and stories from a close friend who works in the bureaucracy. #uspol

The initial shock-and-awe have passed, for my friend, their colleagues, and most of the folks posting to that subreddit. They’ve gotten to their feet—which is to say, returned to their desks—and are taking no shit.

A slogan I learned from both sources at the same time: "Hold the line, don’t resign." They have bumper stickers.
