idk i think it's just as likely that the author genuinely believes this and wrote it primarily to express their viewpoint and not as some kind of own
there's an interesting question there of what you would think the primary audience is intended to be. i don't think gnome blog updates are written for a primarily chud audience, or even nominally in part. nonetheless i'm sure that some people are going to get upset at anything because of course they will. probably even a sizable subset of "low-information liberals" are gonna be miffed bc liberals tend not to support palestine
