The FCC Reflect Orbital approval decision is catastrophically stupid in many ways. But one that stands out to me is that the US military ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WANT to set the precedent than blinding telescopes from orbit is A-OK.
This is like the US military not realizing that Starlink was a blessing to any hostile drone operators until after Russia was using it for literally years.
