I've worked at a few places that had the credit card stamper but I never had the pleasure of using it since it was only to be used if the credit card system or the power went down.
Wish proper small computer stores were a thing when I was growing up. There's plenty of computer repair shops that'll build you a system but long gone are the days of RadioShack (pre-cellular days) and CompUSA. Closest I've ever had to anything like a computer store would be Circuit City, Best Buy, or Staples
