His best film imo (Memento) relies on quite a bit of visual storytelling & requires the audience to pay attention & fill in information to make the backwards narrative even make sense.
There isn't a bunch of exposition holding your hand through it.
But Memento is a fucking challenging film. It's not friendly to casual viewing. It takes effort to watch & understand.
