Flaking paint, or sanding it for redecoration can release lead dust into the air, particularly harmful to young children.
So not only do we have a shortage of dwellings in the right places, those that are, if old (as many are) a time bombs of lead poisoning.
yet, one more aspect of a country slowing falling apart....
