This is something that I've never thought about before.
The article is paywalled, so I'm just left to imagine it's a complaint about the directors pay cheques.
This article https://www.investmentexecutive.com/news/cpp-investments-earned-7-8-for-fiscal-2026-net-assets-total-793-3-billion/ says the fund gained 7.8% which sounds very good, no?
However, it says it fell short of a "benchmark portfoliio" that was at 13.2%, which sounds incredible to me.
