I like to let my perennial border grow a little wild and always leave some grasses and wildflowers in among the plants.
But by early summer, there always comes a point when weeds like horsetail, ground elder, and grasses start taking over, and the border no longer looks its best. Some plants also need to be cut back so they’ll produce a second flush of blooms or won’t self-seed everywhere.
So, I’ll have plenty to keep me busy over the next few days 🤍
