"You will never be a Real Woman"

What do they even *mean* by "real" and "woman"?

Is the latter a question of biological characteristics only? Reproductive features? How do they feel so confident to assert that humanity will never master biotechnology enough to replicate or alter such?

Is it a question of identity? Then no changes are even required.

It seems to me that the point of view where that assertion makes any sense is one that is fundamentally incompatible with (bio)technological and scientific progress, as well as one that ignores observable biodiversity (since there's some assumption biology cares for some "one proper way to do XYZ", which it demonstrably doesn't).
