After 2,150km of driving and 130km of hiking, I am finally on the ferry across to Wellington.
It’s been almost perfect pacing for a road trip for me; not sure I’ll drive the whole way next time, and focus more on longer hikes in the lower South Island, but it’s been really worth it this time.
