I don't think people act more like adolescents, this is just some parties trying to make certain kinds of sentiments stick with certain kinds of issues to attack it.
The issue is more with some people who might have a larger following and are well known influencers for a perticular topic.
I feel it is important to call them out, even if they are partially correct, because bitcoin is here for the world to unite and not to divide further.
It's difficult enough to explain bitcoin and get the message across, so making it harder unnecessarily doesnt help.
Anyway - i think the silent majority is very reasonable, but small loud minorities like to give that impression you mention here and we really dont need it.
