Arguably, the actual functional difference between wealth and poverty is less than it ever has been.
Anything a wealthy person has, I "can" have:
Vacation
Cruise
Vehicle
Knowledge
Education
Debt
Servants (what else is most service work but being a part time servant? Eating out = fractional chef)
Clean clothes
Transportation
These are all within reach of even those in "poverty", just not as nice nor as frequently as the wealthy.
