I would still recommend checking for other countries than the US trust me when i say, the US is one of the worst places in the west to go.
Got to a country that gives you health care, Respects your privacy and rights to a degree, and gives you financial certainty and can help you if you ever lose your job.
One that also respects you as an employee in the US you can get fired over everything
