I think the laws definitely need review. No question here, because despite our rigorous system, it missed this pair of murderers.
I think it's possibly a little soon to meaningfully "tighten" the laws at this point, as this dynamic duo wasn't even on the police radar. How do we know what part of the system failed? We don't.
I think they should wait until the evidence is collected and presented in court. Then, they will have a clearer picture of the path to radicalisation that lead to this event, and might therefore locate the correct part of the legislation that needs adjustment.
