Yes - what Elon's takeover of X did was to give it a lease on life for a few more years. But ultimately the deficiencies of the platform are too much & it only delayed the decline. We must also remember that, whatever Elon's own views, he owns it jointly with a conglomerate of investors, and they pretty clearly are WEF-oriented and probably want it even more censored than it already is. I don't see it as viable for any meaningful discussion unless the subjects are relatively vanilla (like nutrition[1]).
For that, there are still good accounts on there but it really works best not to interact with the feed at all, instead treating the site as a collection of micro-blogs to bookmark.
[1]- And even here you can run into problems because they had the problem of being saturated with influencers spreading BS even long before Elon took over.
