I probably tell people I know too often that, nothing in this world is ever perfect. It's literally not possible to go through life on the expectation that idealism will "always" prevail.
I can be idealistic, but I recognize human beings - ALL of them, including you, including me, are not infallible. Everyone is like that all the time. There's so many variables we have no control over anyway... and yet, there's such a large set of the populous that assumes 1. they are perfect 2. other people can be.
It hurts my brain more that instead of using constructive criticism or having a mutual understanding of expectation = not met, it goes straight to hostility more often than not.
