As I recall, the pollster oversight trade body Market Research and Intelligence Association disbanded itself in 2018.
Is there a replacement I'm not aware of?
I'm pretty hard on pollsters for their links to their conservative-leaning parent firms that nobody cares to acknowledge, when really the problem is more the media's fault for using them far too much b/c cheap filler. And there is also the problem of political polling being such a tiny percentage of pollsters' income compared to corporate.
Angus Reid thoroughly publicly disgraced himself by piling residential school denialism on top of being gulled by a rw site blaming Trudeau for church burnings, but I wouldn't call AR bias the worst of them.
That said, AR CEO Shachi Kurl is not Angus Reid.
