The UK has the most expensive electricity in Europe apart from Germany, but this may be behind the 31% reduction in emissions in the decade to 2022.... high prices have forced more efficient use of energy?
Or.... the reduction in emissions 'embedded' in consumption has dropped by only 10% in the same period. In other words by using more imported goods & services, the UK's emissions have been effectively exported so they no longer count in our *territorial* emissions.
