For me this circus showed me that bitcoin is what i thought it was, and people are what i thought they were.
I’m always hopeful the people surprise me.
I took to the issue like i take all philosophical inquires, gathering the strongest arguments on both sides, asking all the biggest loudest voices for their arguments.
Sadly, the strongest arguments for v30 are logically invalid, inconsistent, arbitrary, or performative contradictions.
I understand why v30 can be good for some individuals, but not how it can be good for the network.
What relay policy functionally accomplished in 2023 was not bad then.
And no one can put together a coherent argument for why protocol consensus functionally accomplishing the same thing is now bad.
