In my opinion, the single most dangerous aspect of this current "AI" bubble is the devaluing of lived experience and talent in just about every industry where it has been applied.
Making it available to the masses means that people don't have to learn or even have the skills that the industry previously required for success, which neuters the industry as a whole and greatly reduces the quality of the product. There's no incentive for people to continue learning when they can just "vibe code" their way through an activity that used to require a lot of experience or some innate talent.
It's doing the same thing to work that social media did to social interactions - just because you can broadcast your opinion to the world doesn't mean that your opinion matters or is worth hearing. And now that generations have grown up under that system, we see that people have lost the ability to hold their tongues and not say every stupid little thing that pops into their heads (like you may be thinking about this post right now, I realize).
It enables a lowest-common-denominator society.
